Denver’s LGBTQIA+ Chiropractor + Fertility Coach

Finding healthcare providers that are safe and affirming can be difficult in any city, especially if you are looking for a provider in a field that is dominated by conservative cis-men. But, our office is here to offer LGBTQIA+ center holistic wellness tailored to fit YOUR needs.

The Who

Hey, Folx! I am Dr. Savannah, the Owner + Featured Doctor of Jade Wellness, a Chiropractic + Holistic Wellness space centered around the health and well being of the LGBTQIA+ community in Denver. I am a Licensed Chiropractor + Certified Holistic Fertility/Birth Doula who is also a life-long member of the community I serve.

My mission to serve the LGBTQIA+ community has always been a part of the plan seeing that I was raised in a queer family and knew I was queer as a pre-teen. What I also knew then is that I wanted to be a doctor so I could help people feel better in their bodies. What I did not know back then was the path that life would lead me down on the way to becoming a doctor.

Dr. Savannah Jones

Chiropractor + Holistic Fertility Coach

After receiving a Pre-Med undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, I realized that I was very disenchanted by the modern medical system. I didn’t even like going to the doctor because of the encounters I had had with them, so why did I want to be one? So my true passion for helping people took over, which led me to a 3 year path detour working for Habitat for Humanity.

While working at Habitat, I found myself in need of a Chiropractor. After seeing the chiropractor regularly for a few months I noticed a few things :

  1. My body felt like I was 10 years younger

  2. My seasonal allergies were almost non-existent

  3. My mood was much more balanced and my focus was much better .

I had discovered what kind of doctor I wanted to be!

The Why

As a cis-woman and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, my experiences with doctors had always been poor. When I chose to return to school, I knew I wanted to be better than the doctors I had seen throughout the years. Unfortunately, I was woefully unprepared for what I had signed up for. Chiropractic school was not the hippie-healthcare-dreamhouse I had imagined.

It was, in fact, a hyper-conservative nightmare. My peers and faculty were woefully misinformed and discriminatory toward the LGBTQIA+ community. In the same moment that I realized what I would be facing for the next 3.5 years of grad school, I also realized that it meant the LGBTQIA+ community likely did not have many safe and affirming chiropractic offices to visit. That is when I knew what my future looked like - an LGBTQIA+ Centered Chiropractic Office.

In 2023, my partner and I relocated from the south to Denver and I knew immediately that opening an LGBTQIA+ centered office was the plan. Jade Wellness opened in August of 2023 as the first NGLCC Certified Chiropractic office in Colorado. Being NGLCC certified means that our office underwent a safe space site visit, our paperwork was combed through, and affidavits were signed by friends and family confirming that I was, in fact, queer and affirming healthcare provider.

The How

Chiropractic is a holistic health practice focused on removing subluxations from the body that interfere with the brain-body connection. A subluxation is created through misalignments in the spine and around the body that can stunt flow of your nervous system. This can take the form of obvious issues like pain or headaches, but other signs of subluxation can be difficulty focusing, frequent infections, lowered mood or mood swings, heightened sensitivity to things around you, and so much more.

By adjusting these misalignments, your brain-body connection can be restored and you can begin living your life to its fullest expression. Chiropractic adjustments involve hands-on contact which can be triggering to many in the LGBTQIA+ community and is why I take a trauma informed approach to each patient's care. I also feel very strongly in building adjustments that fit your specific body and what your system is ready for. Adjustments do not always have to be aggressive like you might see on TikTok, but they should always be tailored to what you want out of your visit.

Your Care Should Be Built For YOU.

Never the other way around.

Similarly, I use a tailored approach when working with patients on Fertility and Hormone Coaching. The coaching program that is offered is completely custom for each patient's goals which can range from having better periods to getting pregnant as a trans person. Fertility Coaching works on a month-to-month basis with no contracts so patients have the freedom to step away when they need to and get the care they need at a cost effective rate.

When I was considering how pricing would work in the office, I made a deliberate choice to keep the prices at an affordable rate so more people in my community could get the care they need. So many offices price out patients who need care or could truly benefit from being able to afford more frequent visits. For this reason, our prices are fully transparent online and even come with customizable family plans that can work for any family composition, including poly-fams. Sliding-Scale and Pro-Bono work are also available as needed.

My mission and passion is to provide Chiropractic + Fertility Care to the LGBTQIA+ community and having a space and platform to do so is so rewarding!

If you are looking for a Chiropractor in the Denver area who is safe and affirming, I can’t wait to meet you!
